{"id":2355,"date":"2015-07-09T08:00:52","date_gmt":"2015-07-09T12:00:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/beta.croisee.org\/?p=2355"},"modified":"2019-12-10T15:22:30","modified_gmt":"2019-12-10T20:22:30","slug":"community-garage-sale-sustainable-action","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/croisee.org\/en\/community-garage-sale-sustainable-action\/","title":{"rendered":"Community Garage Sale &#8211; &#8220;Sustainability 101&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; color: #000000;\">On June 20th over 50 families participated in our community garage sale.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; color: #000000;\">They sold some of their still valuable household items for a small return on top of their own time of use.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"color: #3333ff;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Valuable resources avoided land-fill disposal and the &#8220;waste stream&#8221;.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; color: #000000;\">We were to able meet and talk with&nbsp; friends, neighbours and community visitors.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; color: #000000;\">Other people found items they could put to use.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; color: #000000;\">and when left over items were donated to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gfgso.com\/en\/Home\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Big Brothers\/Big Sisters<\/a>, our community&nbsp; helped children who could use some mentoring to reach their possibility.
