It is unfortunate the Easter Egg Hunt event had to be cancelled this year due to a lack of volunteers, but it will be back next year. Families who had registered have been contacted. Remember, our venue is priceless.

Looking back, our community has done amazing things in so little time. None of those things would have been possible without neighbours who volunteered to make it all happen. They simply offered a small amount of time (“generosity”), skills or material support (“gifts”) in whatever way they could. It is how everything was born and how it continues to grow because we are blessed with good people.

There will be more explanation concerning the structure at another time, but for now, it is important to remember that we are all neighbours and volunteers.

There are 4 other events scheduled and supported for this year:

  • Community Garage Sale – Saturday, May 25th
  • Bike Day and Fêtes des Voisins – Saturday, June 8th
  • Corn Roast and AGM – Saturday, September 21st
  • Community Christmas – Saturday, December 7th

Improved notices will be provided. In the meantime, if you see or hear a call-out for volunteers, your response is what can make events possible and the community around us, even better. Everyone is welcomed.
