On Saturday, June 11th, many families in La Croisee came together for our annual Neighbours Day, despite the threat of bad weather.
Thank you, everyone!
We are all grateful for the sense of community spirit behind it.
Like an Amish barn raising, neighbours and friends build our events by offering a small amount of their time in which ever way they can help.
From transportation, electricity and set-up, barbecue, music, salads, baking, games, donated prizes, accounting, translations, advertising and more, it is all brought – 100% – by community volunteers.
The $1:00 fee paid by families at the registration tent helped make this event truly “non-profit”, “revenue neutral” with more possibilities for the future.
A special thank you to our neighbour, Angela Hager, for leading this event co-ordination this year, despite the constraints of time and budget. Thanks, Angela!
And, of course, this event would not be possible, (for real!) – without all the community volunteers and local businesses who offered their support!
Thanks to neighbours: Derek Young, Samuel Clermont, Melanie Brassard, Angie Hagar, Warren Hagar, Allana Hayes, Lisa Sattler, Katherine Sepulveda, Josee Sisson, Mark Sisson, Annic McGuire, Lyne Forget-Lanthier, Laura Parpalita, Marie-Josee Larouche, Nancy Lessard, Larry Prickett, Martin McGuire, Rama Ndagano, Mary Saghbini, Sean Stevenson, Chad Barter, Todd Jolicoeur, Gaston Gagnon, Cristine LaCasse.
